| We never got the chance as after practice and a heat race mother nature moved in a postponed the race. In practice we still were having some diffuculty with the brakes. In the very brief practice session we actually were the fastest at a time of 17.3, .After practice we were a bit looseafter losing some downforce with the new tail section. For the heat we tightened the car up, maybe too much as we were tight in the heat race although we managed a lap of 16.84 which was the fastest time of the night. The other Hawk cars won heat races while we finished second to a strong running Jerry Curran. We were still confident going into the feature which never happened due to the rain. Tonight Pat and the guys are pulling the motor on the 72 and changing it back to the Oswego Motor. We had left the ISMA motor in the car after last weeks race, and found no real advantage. The way the power band is on the ISMA motor by the time it kicks in the advantage has been lost due to the fact its time for brakes. We will go back to last years setup for practice this week, and Next weeks 75 lapper. There will be another entry tomorrow.... |
