| Greg hit the track for the first time on Saturday. There were no major problems with the car. The track itself had some opening day issues as some patch repairs came apart requiring a small detour through turn one. The first time out we went out on last years tires and the car was fast turning several laps around 17.4-17.5 After closing up the stagger a bit we went back out and the car went several laps at 17.1- 17.2. The cones in turn one were not a problem although the car was a bit tight. At this point we parked the car for the day as another problem occured with the track and they ended parctice an hour early. The day was a success as Greg did not push the car as much as he could of. Every thing was sound mechanically with the car so we are off to a good start. Next Saturday we will practice again, throw on some stickers and really get going! stay tuned. |
